North Star Child Development Centre welcomes families to our safe and nurturing facility. It is a pleasure to care for your children and provide them with developmentally appropriate curriculum. We are located at Kingsway Mews plaza across the street and at walking distance from the Kingsway/Royal Alex /LRT station and neighbourhood schools. We are committed to providing quality early learning and childcare for all children from 0 to 12 years of age. We believe that children learn and develop to their optimal potential by interacting with their environment through a rich variety of play opportunities and hands-On sensory experiences. We are committed to providing a developmentally stimulating and challenging program to ensure that every child receives the best start in life. Our program encourages independence, respect for others, leadership, confidence and lifelong learning among children.
To provide the highest quality of developmentally and culturally appropriate programming where every child is cherished for their unique qualities and families are supported through mutual respect, open communication, resources and opportunities to participate in the program.
We believe that children are competent, capable of complex thinking, curious and rich in potential. We follow the emergent curriculum approach to program planning. We base activities on the needs and interests of the children, providing activities that will extend the children's learning as far as they want it to go.
We employ a group of highly skilled, dedicated and certified Educators. Our educators come from diverse educational backgrounds and we incorporate this diversity into our program to promote inclusive environment. Children will experience a variety of physical activities, acquire skills through natural curiosity and play, socialize with children their age and gain a love for learning, be independent learners and have fun!
